Abstract

Noise barriers in addition to the possibility of the area for construction, modeling and simulation before installation, should also be evaluated after installat in order to determine the result and role, because in the absence of acceptable reductions In the equivalent balance of sound, the installation of a barrier with regard to the budget spent without logical justification and should be corrected as well as the repetition of mistakes made in the design, installation and ... in the other Similar plans prevent.
In the beginning, using the Bruel & Kjaer 2236 the performance of this noise barrier was measured, in the next step, the analysis of the results and the comparison of the equivalent sound level with the standard for equivalent sound level in the open air of the country's residential areas Then, using the TNM2.5 (Traffic Noise Model) and Surfer14 software and data of Tehran traffic control compani, we simulated the sound conditions of the study area.
Despite the acceptable performance of the noise barrier in this area, the results of this study indicate that the equivalent sound level has not reached the standard level in residential areas.
