Abstract

Indoor air quality is very important due to its direct impacts on human health and welfare. According to surveys, a closed space has 5 to 10% higher pollutants compared to the adjacent open spaces, People, on average, spend approximately 80 percent of their time in indoor environments. (Are Jani .et at .2012) In this study, the particulate matter are measured through a particle counter instrument in four different stations in city of Kermanshah in order to identify the indoor particles. Comparing the concentration of particulate matter in 4 stations and the impact of humidity for each station and under two different environmental conditions are discussed. The results imply that the heating systems generate fewer pollutants in closed spaces, and windows can act as a ventilation channel. Moreover, the number of residents impacts the number of particulates in the inner space and the number of particulates has positive correlation with humidity.
