Abstract

Iran, as a developing country, is currently witnessing a steady increase in urbanization on a large scale. The research type is an applied and descriptive-analytical method, which is considered by the genetic algorithm to evaluate the spatial desirability of urban development plans based on the integration of the network analysis process and automated cellular modelling with calibration. At first, the indices obtained from theoretical studies were extracted and standardized using the Delphi method. The FANP method was used to prioritize the criteria. Then, to standardize the layers, different functions of fuzzy logic were used in the GIS environment. Finally, Sleuth-GA model was used to predict land-use change and urban growth. The results of the study in the study area show that about 10.5% of the region has a very high utility and 51% have very low utility. Among the five coefficients obtained, the coefficient of propagation, birth rate and road tendency are dominant. Also, the low coefficient of tilt resistance shows that the probability of developing the city in a high tilt area in this area is very high; therefore, the area has a fundamental or the marginal growth will be by 2040.
