Abstract

One of the most important issues in the world today is the issue of protecting the environment. In this research, we intend to evaluate the environmental awareness and responsibility of high school secondary school students in Islamabad and evaluate the impact of social factors and underlying and family variables on their environmental behaviors. A random sampling method was used to select schools and a random sampling method was used to select students. Data were collected using self-made questionnaire and analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance. The results of the research show that there is no significant difference between environmental awareness, environmental behavior and responsibility of girls and boys. Environmental behavior, environmental awareness and accountability of students are not related to the level of education and occupation of parents, the monthly income of the household and the type of residential home. In addition, environmental awareness, environmental behavior, and accountability of students were modest.
