In the modern capitalist system, the city is considered as a suitable place and urbanism as a desirable way of living in it. The rise and influence of the capitalist culture in the third world, including Iran, followed the trend of industrialization, and the assembly and related industry, as a clear symbol of that irreparable damage and complications, was planted in the economic and social structure of the Iranian society. Among its consequences is the heterogeneous urban concentration and rapid growth of the urban population due to the extensive rural-urban migration. A process that actually causes the transfer of the mostly poor population to the cities. The expansion of urban life and urbanism and the concentration of capital in cities have caused neglect of rural areas. which causes population flow or in other words migration from villages to cities and vice versa
The excessive reliance of modern urbanism on the needs of vehicular movement and neglecting the maintenance and organization of pedestrian spaces has led to the decline of social, cultural and visual values, and as a result, the quality of life and urban livability decreases. The rapid growth of cities, the exponential increase of the urban population, and the subsequent inappropriate and disorganized physical growth, have the consequences of dissatisfaction with urban life and are associated with the loss of vitality. Our time is the time of speed; Travel, communication, production and exchange, weather changes, etc. are faster. With the renovation and construction of scattered and unprincipled, especially at the level of the metropolises of the developing countries, the principle of urban life and social life has gone into oblivion. In line with efforts to improve the quality of life; Providing vitality, liveliness and urban livability has become one of the main concerns of the urban management system and the goal of many urban programs. Several movements such as smart city, creative city, green city, electronic city, etc. have been proposed in order to respond to urban issues, each of which has characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. One of the newest and most successful movements is the "Quiet City" movement.
Cities as a suitable place and urbanization as a desirable way of life are considered the most important centers of development. Meanwhile, cultural traditions as an important category in sustainable urban development with the penetration and influence of capitalist culture in the third world, including Iran, have caused heterogeneous urban concentration and accelerated urban growth. In order to solve the upcoming challenges, several viewpoints have been formulated in order to achieve sustainability; One of the newest and most successful approaches is the Peaceful City movement, which was created as a cultural movement to increase the quality of life and reduce speed in cities. Irregular urban growth, urban sprawl, loss of agricultural land, lack of proper infrastructure, spread of pollution and environmental destruction, rapid growth of urban population, which has practically distanced cities from the concept of sustainable development. And as a result, it has caused today's cities to distance themselves from the indicators that a peaceful city has. Therefore, the purpose of the current research is to investigate the role of cultural traditions on the sustainable development of Ardabil city with the approach of the peaceful city movement. As you can see, today the population of cities is increasing very rapidly and following that, city management is done to provide services and facilities to such a large number of people in such a way that people can achieve their goals and objectives faster.
Methodology
The collection method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of research method. The data collection method was also based on library, field studies and questionnaire completion. The statistical population of the research consists of the citizens of Ardabil city (529,374 people), of which 383 people were estimated as the sample size based on Cochran's formula and were distributed and completed by simple random sampling method in Ardabil city. A five-point Likert scale (1=very low, 2=low, 3=moderate, 4=high, 5=very high) was used to value the questions. In this regard, 6 indicators (infrastructure, local products, culture, hospitality, urban context, environment) were used in the form of 41 items. The validity of the content of the questionnaire questions has been confirmed by professors and experts, and to calculate the reliability of the questions, first, the questionnaire was implemented with a pre-test on a sample of 30 people, and then the reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using the Cronbach's alpha method, and the overall coefficient was 812. 0.0 was obtained, which shows the high level of reliability of the questionnaire. For data analysis, spss software and one-sample t test were used.
.
Conclusion
In order to investigate the role of cultural traditions on the sustainable development of cities with the approach of the peaceful city movement, a one-sample t-test has been used. In this test, a 5-point Likert scale was used and ranks 1 to 5 were assigned to the answers, 1 point indicates the lowest level of influence of the indicators and 5 points indicates the highest level of influence. In this way, the number 3 is considered as the theoretical average of the answers and the average obtained is compared with the number 3. Based on the results of the one-sample test, the average of the indicators except the hospitality index is below the average (3). This means that Ardabil city has an unfavorable situation in terms of Shahr Aram indicators. According to the value of t statistic which shows (99% significance level) in all indicators and that the error level in all indicators is less than 1%, it can be said that the claims made are significant at 99% level and approved. Placed. The findings of the research indicate that the average of the indicators was below the average level, so that except for the hospitality index, all the indicators were less than 3. Among the indicators studied, the lowest value is related to the environment and the highest value is related to the hospitality index. It should be noted that the environmental index had the most negative impact on the realization of Peaceful city.
