The purpose of the present study is to investigate the impact of copper mine on soil and plants surrounding the Bavanat copper mine. The concentration of heavy metals (copper, lead, zinc, manganese and nickel) in soil and plants was investigated. Three sampling stations were selected for soil and plant including: upstream mineral zone, Bavanat mining area and downstream mineral zone. Elements of soil and plant elements were measured using ICP-OES analysis. EC, PH, CFC, Cu, Pb, Zn, Mn and Ni parameters were also determined in soil samples. Native species of the region, including: Grapes, almonds and Artemisia rangiens were selected for the study. The results showed that the presence of Bavanat copper was effective on the distribution of Cu, Pb, Zn, Mn and Ni in the soil and the highest concentration was observed in the Bavanat mineral zone. The highest concentration of copper in Artemisia terrestrial organs (53/79) was in the Banat mineral zone. The highest amount of manganese transfer factor was in almonds (3.65) and the highest concentration of bioconcentration was in lead (0.60). The Bavanat Copper Mine has been effective in distributing the concentrations of the investigated elements in soil and native plants of the area.
